Overview
As the sole ‘Authorized Service Centre’ in Southern Africa for AgustaWestland, the primary responsibility of Precision Aviation Services (PAS) is, the service, maintenance and repair of Agusta machines in the sub-continent.
In addition we share the onus for sales of the Agusta range, civilian, corporate and military, with the regional AgustaWestland representative. We believe this provides potential owners/customers with a valuable, holistic perspective of an investment in any of the leading edge Agusta machines that fall within the PAS scope of approval by the Civil Aviation Authority in SA – and which also extends to our status as an ‘approved service facility’ for Agusta and Schweizer helicopters.
Established at Wonderboom Airport in 1993 by MD Riks Hulleman, PAS was initially approached by AgustaWestland in 1996, and after strenuous due-diligence, was appointed a year later… co-inciding with the delivery of the first Agusta A109 Power into South Africa.
This development also motivated the change in modus operandi of the company to that of a specialist rotor-wing entity. At this time, the credentials of the PAS facility were further enhanced through it’s recognition by Agusta and Schweizer, and the awarding of the service contract for the South African Police Services (SAPS) MD 500 range, and the major inspection responsibilities (1200 hour) for the Portnet A109 (K2) machines.
Subsequently, in 2000, ground to this end was broken on a state-of-the-art, dedicated Helicopter Service Facility built around the specifications of the entire Agusta range (including the 6,5 ton AW139), with re-location taking place 18 months later.

PAS further expanded its services to the helicopter fraternity, both corporate and civilian, with the incorporation of a Flying School, and today, with a staff complement exceeding 20 (including 9 licensed technicians and trainees), PAS offers a full-spectrum service to pilots and owners in sub-saharan Africa.
Suffice it to say that this service mandates the provision of technical assistance to our clients, irrespective of location, anywhere within the sub-continent.
